After discussing the issue with your direct supervisor and the Director of Nursing, they have asked that you research the current literature and propose an evidence-based practice solution to the identified practice problem.

Instructions

From your work or clinical experience, identify a potential practice problem and formulate an evidence-based practice question. Prepare a proposal for an evidence-based practice solution that includes the following.

· Describe a potential practice problem including background, relevance, and significance

· Formulate an evidence-based practice question using the PICO(T) format

· Locate one qualitative and one quantitative research article no older than 5 years, peer-reviewed, that describe the practice problem

· Summarize the qualitative and quantitative research studies

· Appraise the research findings including three strengths and three limitations for the qualitative and quantitative research studies.

· Support the critical appraisals with rationale and examples

· Propose an evidence-based practice solution supported with evidence from credible resources
