Seals, D. R., & Tanaka, H. (2000). Manuscript peer review: A helpful checklist for students and novice referees. Advances in Physiology Education, 23, 52-58. Note: Although it is older, this article is comprehensive in aiding a peer review.
Comment on Sections: Most research articles contain similar sections such as: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion, and Recommendations. In your article seek the overarching sections such as these as categories for your article review. If your article has other sections then utilize them.
Identify the Impact Factor: You will be required to note the impact factor of the journal from which the article is published and provide a concise meaning of impact factor that your colleagues in respiratory would understand.
Submit: Submit the critique and a pdf of the article to the Assignment before Sunday Midnight, EST. The critique should be no more than 750 words in 12 point Arial font with one inch margins. Submit your critique as a MS Word document.
