Review this Sample Concept Map as a model for your concept map assignment.
Refer to this Concept Mapping guide if you need additional support.
To build your Concept Map:
- Go to the end of chapter summary and locate the bolded terms for the sections included in your assigned reading.
- Create a flash card for each of the bolded terms. Search through the ebook for reference of these terms and identify and review the terms you do not understand.
- Decide how the terms should be organized based on relationships and divisions, and start making connections, like a timeline, categories, or ordered process.
- Once you have your flash cards organized the way you want, design your map using either an online program or draw it by hand.

These are available resources for completing your concept maps. You may use any of these options, or any other concept mapping tools that you find. You are not required to use the same tool for the concept map in each module. Feel free to try different options throughout the course.
