Post your Discussion, to address the following:

·        Briefly describe one leadership dysfunction discussed in the Required Readings.

·        Explain the possible causes of the leadership dysfunction you described.

·        How does this dysfunction impact individuals, teams, and the organization as a whole?

Be sure to support your postings and responses with specific references to the Learning Resources.

Part2

Having explored leadership dysfunction, you will address strategies for intervening with a leader, and you will address other elements that may have allowed this issue to develop and persist. Although you need to be sure to use the Required Readings, you also need to go beyond the course readings and seek peer-reviewed research to learn how to effectively intervene with leadership dysfunction.

To prepare for this Assignment:

·        Review the Learning Resources.

·        Research intervention strategies for toxic leadership.

·        Identify a different dysfunction than the one you chose for this week’s Discussion.

·        Identify a leader who personifies the qualities of your chosen dysfunction. You will develop an Intervention Plan for them. This leader can be a real person or fictionalized. If you use a real person, please be sure to omit their actual names and/or use pseudonyms.

Submit your Assignment in 8–10 pages, to address the following:

·        Describe and define the dysfunction that you identified for this Assignment.

·        Present the profile of a leader with who embodies this dysfunction. Provide examples of behaviors, communication patterns, supervision, and decision making, as examples.

Then, develop and present an Intervention Plan for the individual to address the following:

·        Identify three outcomes projected for the intervention.

·        Present and explain two individual strategies, such as mentoring, coaching, training, or professional development. Provide a rationale for your choices and be specific.

·        Present and explain one organizational strategy, such as culture, structure, or team building. Provide a rationale for your choices and be specific.

·        Propose how you would address any challenges or resistance that might occur.
