1. Nutrition in the news:
Find a social media post or nutrition headline that you want to evaluate further.
Then find a research study or the study the headline is referencing. Compare what is stated in the media to what
is explained in the article. Who is the author or the news article and who are the authors of the study. Do they
have credentials in the area of study?
Reflect on what you learned in a 2 page write up. Topics you can include is summary of the study, summary of the
key take aways you would want others to know. Reflect on your own personal thoughts about the media and the
study and would you be concerned about the nutrition information presented.
