Assignment Task – Critical Analysis Report

Critically analyse how a recent event significantly impacted the way in which your organisation is managed. Identify a recent online newspaper article (i.e., provide link to article) dated after 1 January 2020 that describes a recent specific significant event or situation that significantly impacted the way in which your organisation is managed.

If you are not working in the policing, security or military field, you can identify another organisation instead of your own, but it must be within either policing, a government agency security or the military within your own country.

Write in a Report format, with the following six headings, respond to the following using the suggested word count for each:

1. Description and Impact of Event

Describe the recent specific significant event or situation outlined in the article and explain how it impacted your organisation.

2. Organisational Response to Event 

Explain how the recent significant event or situation was handled by your organisation.

3. External Influences 

Explain any external influences (e.g., media, external review bodies, government, the public, etc.) and how they impacted decisions made by management.

4. Management Changes as Response 

Identify and explain what changes were made to how your organisation is managed as a result of the recent specific significant event or situation.

5. Impact on Governance and Accountability 

Critically reflect on how this even impacted the governance and accountability of the organisation.

6. Drawing on the information provided 

Make any recommendations to improve areas with a justification. The quality of your recommendations should be good enough to share with key decision makers within your agencies. You must ensure that your Report includes proper APA 7th Edition referencing to relevant academic theory.
