Formative Assessment: Building Your Literature Matrix We are going to begin our literature review process. In this formative assessment, you will provide an analysis and synthesis of one research article related to your research question. You will complete this using our Literature Review Matrix. You may replace the sample information (in blue) with your own (change font to black). You may choose to create your own matrix. If you do this, follow APA guidelines for a narrative table. [See pages 223-224 in the APA Publication Manual (7th edition) for samples.] Steps for Completion of Assignment: 1. Select journal article related to your research topic for your capstone. 2. Complete the literature matrix for your journal article. 3. Write a summary (1-2 paragraphs) of what you learned from the exercise and how you feel it will help you in your capstone research.
