Assume the role of an HR consultant who has been engaged by the CEO of a company of your choice. Your task is to evaluate the company’s HRM strategies and practices in light of the factors highlighted in the article to ensure the company is prepared for future challenges.

Prepare a comprehensive report of 4000 words that addresses the following issues:

1.Introduction (400 words): 

Identify the key factors driving the need for upskilling in today’s workforce, and critically appraise the strategic HRM issues impacting the contemporary organisations. 

2.Main body (3200 words- 800 words for each question):

Now critically evaluate the following 4 areas of HRM in your chosen company. You MUST apply relevant HRM strategies and theories and bring empirical evidence from your selected company and compare them with other real-life companies.

  1. Assess the EDI policy of your selected company. How can HR professionals design upskilling programs that cater to the diverse needs of a multigenerational workforce, ensuring inclusivity and effectiveness?
  2. Appraise the current recruitment and selection process. As HR consultant what challenges do you see in terms of recruitment and selection process? How do you ensure you attract and hire the best talent for your company in this competitive market? 
  3. Critically evaluate the strategies employed by HR professionals in designing and implementing effective learning and development programs. These programs should address current skill gaps within a geographically dispersed team and meet future organizational needs for developing high-performance teams.
  4. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) that are crucial to assess the effectiveness of performance management programs of your chosen company. Critically evaluate how can HR metrics and analytics be leveraged to assess the effectiveness of performance management programs.

3.Conclusion and Recommendations (400 words):

Produce solid and logical conclusions. Present a coherent set of practical recommendations based on your HRM research,  and to foresee future trends in the world of work and identify new areas for OB research.
