B. Submission Instructions

The essay should be submitted via Canvas by: 1200 noon on Wednesday 23rd October 2024. The submission should be in PDF (.pdf) if possible.

Part time students (including HLA students) can take one additional week, until 1200 noon on Wednesday 30th October 2024, if you need to.

Do not use a cover sheet. Do not exceed 1000 words, there is no 10% leeway in this assignment.

This assignment will contribute 10% of your grade for this module.

Late submissions will be penalised in line with the QUB Regulations. Work submitted after the deadline will be penalised at a rate of 5% of the total marks available for each working day late up to a maximum of five working days, after which a mark of zero shall be awarded.

Exemptions will be granted to this only if there are exceptional circumstances, and where the student has made an application in according with the exceptional circumstances procedure, within three working days of the deadline for submission. C. Marking

Marks will be given based on:

How well the question was answered

Appropriate use of material and ideas from the source documents

Use of techniques to avoid plagiarism and other academic offences

Correct use of Harvard Referencing for both in-text citations and the reference list
