This formative assignment focuses on assessing and enhancing your understanding of interprofessional collaboration and team leadership within healthcare. It aims to help you recognize how effective teamwork and collaboration among diverse healthcare professionals contribute to improved patient safety, care quality, and overall healthcare innovation. 

Instructions:  

  1. Use the same issue selected in the first formative assessment. 
  2. Create a leadership plan for building an interprofessional team to address the issue. Identify the team members (e.g., nurses, physicians, and administrative staff) and describe each role. 
  3. Explain the strategies you will use to ensure effective team communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution. 
  4. Identify how your leadership style will guide the team, and describe how you will motivate team members to focus on improving patient safety or healthcare outcomes. 
  5. Write a reflection on the importance of interprofessional collaboration in driving change and how you will manage different perspectives within the team.
